Partners Announce the Start of Breakwater 233 with Groundbreaking Ceremony

Hovde Properties along with partners from the City of Racine, Johnson Financial Group, C.G. Schmidt Construction, and Kahler Slater Architects gathered on Friday to host a ceremonial groundbreaking for Breakwater 233.

Breakwater 233 is a $40+ million redevelopment of Racine’s 233 Lake Avenue and will introduce over 200 market-rate apartments to Downtown Racine.

Additionally, a new public walkway and green space will connect Lake Avenue to the Lake Michigan Pathway across the site, allowing the community to stroll the waterfront and enjoy Lake Michigan.
