Ethan Schwenker serves as Chief Operating Officer at Hovde Properties, where he oversees the company’s day-to-day operations. In this role, Ethan is responsible for driving efficiency, optimizing processes, and supporting growth initiatives across our development, property management, construction, and facilities teams. He works closely with the executive leadership team to implement long-term strategies and maintain operational excellence.

Ethan joined Hovde Properties in April 2023 as Vice President of Development, leading our real estate development and acquisition strategies. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin–Madison JD/MBA program, he brings over a decade of experience in commercial real estate.

Prior to Hovde Ethan held an executive role at First American Title Insurance Company, where he oversaw commercial business development and operations for Western Wisconsin. Before that, he practiced real estate and business law at two AmLaw 100 firms, representing owners, developers, and managers in entity formation, capital raising, debt placement, and acquisitions/dispositions. His background also includes asset management and development for a national real estate developer based in Milwaukee.

In addition to his role at Hovde, Ethan is an adjunct faculty member at the Wisconsin School of Business, where he teaches Real Estate Law, and he proudly serves as a member of the Monona Fire Department.
