Kermit Bergs joined Hovde Properties as the Building Operations and Construction Manager in December 2007. Prior to this, Mr. Bergs worked as an engineering consultant to Hovde since 2004. He has been involved in the design, construction, and commissioning of Ovation 309, Brix Apartment Lofts, and 229 W. LakeLawn. Mr. Bergs has managed the renovations of various Hovde-owned properties, including 316 West Washington Ave, 268 S Carroll St, and the Hovde and Churchill Buildings. He has also overseen numerous tenant improvements and construction projects in all Hovde-owned facilities.

Mr. Bergs has over 30 years of professional experience in facility management, as well as construction, mechanical, electrical, and telecommunications design. He has been involved in numerous multi-million-dollar projects, from the design phase through project completion, for multiple organizations. His previous work history also includes serving as President of Bergs Engineering LLC, Operations/Project Manager for MIS Labs, Senior Corporate Facilities Engineer for American Family Insurance, and as a Captain in the US Air Force.
