Milwaukees First Hard Cider Bar Planned For Walkers Point

A father and daughter plan to open Milwaukee’s first hard-cider bar, seizing on a rapidly growing segment of alcoholic beverages and placing it in a fast-growing area of the city. Stuart Rudolph and Chandra Rudolph could open Lost Valley Cider Co. in Walker’s Point as soon as March. Vision Design, which also designed Morel restaurant in Walker’s Point, is to begin work after the holidays on the bar’s interior, at 408 W. Florida St., Suite 102. The liquor license application with the city is expected to be reviewed in February.

Madison Considers 2 Million TIF Loan For ATT Building Remodeling

Madison is considering a $2 million investment in a $29.2 million face-lift and renovation of the massive AT&T building Downtown. Hovde Properties, which acquired the 10-story building, intends to add glass and windows to the facade to modernize and bring more light into the cream-colored, stone-paneled structure at 316 W. Washington Ave. Hovde also wants to add fire sprinklers to floors six through 10, improve elevators, deal with asbestos, renovate the interior to create space for future tenants, redo the front entrance plaza and side entrance, and upgrade landscaping.

MILWAUKEE, WI – The Apartment Owners & Managers Association of Wisconsin (AOMA) announced the AOMA winners of The Office Building of the Year (TOBY) & Apartment Awards and installed the Officers and Directors for 2015-2016 at a banquet on Tuesday, September 15th at the Blue Mound Country Club, and Ovation 309, managed by Amy Knous and Siegel Gallagher, took home the award for 2015 High Rise Building of the Year.

New Walkers Point Apartments Near Reed Street Yards Reach 95 Percent Occupancy

The Brix Lofts Apartments building in Milwaukee’s Walker’s Point neighborhood has reached 95 percent occupancy four months after opening this summer. That lease-up of the 98-unit building is another reflection of the strong downtown apartment market, and attractiveness of Walker’s Point. Brix is a former industrial building previously used to manufacture candy bars at 408 W. Florida St. It is south of the Reed Street Yards water technology business park, and next to the Iron Horse Hotel. Contractors recently completed a parking structure between the Brix and Iron Horse, said Dustin Sydorowicz, property manager at Siegel-Gallagher Management Co.
